Our Mission

Freedom to Grow is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization whose mission is to provide a healthy environment for people with troubled pasts, behavioral disorders, and/or substance use disorder to learn how to live a happy, healthy, and self-sufficient life. Participants will spend 9 months living and working on a farm in north Georgia where all of the food that they eat is grown and raised on the property. Freedom to Grow will provide mentoring and counseling based on proven methods, and instructed by certified and experienced staff members. Freedom to Grow adheres to the Global Code of Ethics for Coaches and Mentors. We will also offer music lessons, Spanish lessons, arts and crafts, and hiking. Participants will learn how to work as a group and live as a community.   Our goal is to provide this program at little or no cost to the participants. We will raise funds through various fundraising events and public speaking opportunities. As well as relying on our vast network of passionate supporters.

Program Highlights

Mentoring, counseling, team work, and growth are just a few of the things that we will provide as part of the Freedom to Grow experience.
